Engineering and design
Atlas products are built on precise design and engineering. Our technical team turns the needs of each area of work into drawings, specifications and a manufacturing method, so what gets made is exactly what the job requires.
The type and size of the load, the working environment (marine, corrosive, high or low temperature), the duty cycle and the project's governing standards are reviewed before any design work.
Strength, load capacity and safety factor are calculated to each product's reference standard, so the design works with an adequate safety margin.
The right metal or polymer is chosen for corrosion, moisture, wear and mechanical load — the right material can multiply a product's service life.
3D models and manufacturing drawings are produced with exact dimensions and tolerances. Where no drawing exists, the part is reverse-engineered from an existing sample.
Before manufacture, the design is checked against the customer's specification and the standard's requirements and then approved — nothing is made from an unapproved design.
Our engineers stay with the project through manufacture and assembly, and on site during installation when needed, answering the customer team's technical questions.
