Quality assurance

Quality is a process, not a coincidence

At Atlas, quality starts at the design stage and continues through delivery: manufacturing based on engineering and international standards, control on the production line, documented testing, and a delivery the customer can rely on with complete confidence.

Our approach

Five links of quality, from design to delivery

None of these links creates quality on its own. The quality of the final product comes from all of them working together, and every link leaves its own written evidence.

A process view

We don't leave quality to chance

Quality achieved by chance can't be repeated. We treat quality as a defined process that runs the same way on every order.

Comparison of a chance-based and a process-based approach to quality
Left to chance The process approach at Atlas
Inspection only at the endControl at every stage, from incoming material to packing
Relying on individual experience and judgementWritten procedures and defined acceptance criteria
Errors found after delivery to the customerErrors prevented before they happen
Results that vary from one order to the nextConsistent, repeatable quality on every order
Scattered or missing recordsComplete, traceable records for every item
The same mistake repeated on later ordersNonconformities recorded, root causes found, corrective action taken

Management commitment

Quality policy

The Atlas quality policy is a formal, controlled document approved by the Managing Director and communicated to every employee. Its four main commitments:

  • Meeting requirements

Customer requirements, legal and regulatory requirements, industry standards and contractual obligations.

  • Quality at every stage

Assuring product quality, safety and reliability through sourcing, manufacturing, inspection and delivery.

  • A culture of accountability

Transparency, accountability and continual improvement to raise customer satisfaction and stakeholder trust.

  • Measurable quality objectives

Defined objectives whose performance top management reviews regularly.

Quality objectives

What we measure

Quality that isn't measured doesn't improve. These indicators are monitored regularly and reviewed in management review.

Nonconformities

Every deviation from specification is recorded, traced to its root cause and closed with corrective action so it doesn't recur.

Waste and rework

Less material waste and rework is the sign of a well-designed process.

On-time delivery

Meeting the promised delivery date without cutting any inspection step.

Customer satisfaction

Customer feedback is collected after delivery and used to improve our processes.

Documentation

Evaluation should rest on evidence

Approval requirements depend on the destination market and use case, and differ from project to project. We provide the technical documentation we hold — specifications, test records and operating guides — to your engineering team so the required path can be mapped out together.

We make no claim about any approval we do not hold.
